Hotel Kanha Shyam

While this property is not of the same standard as other branded luxury hotel chains in the country, it still manages to give its guests a comfortable experience. I travelled with my family to attend a wedding in the city and we chose this hotel as it seemed to be the only good hotel in Prayagraj. Our welcome was rather forgettable but our checkin was done quite quickly and we were given rooms on their highest floor. The room was otherwise comfortable and had all basic amenities. The view from the hotel is that of the city’s skyline - which was nothing impressive. We had lunch and breakfast at the patio all day dining restaurant of the hotel. Food options were plentiful but the quality and taste could be worked upon. The service of more experienced staff members was commendable. I would especially like to highlight the wonderful service we received from Mr. Indramani Singh at the patio restaurant and he made our breakfasts truly memorable. I must also appreciate the service of the housekeeping personnel on the 8th floor who kept the room pristinely clean. Overall, this is the best option in Prayagraj and you won’t regret staying here.

This is a good hotel to stay in. In the centre of the city. Comfortable room and amenities. My washing done for me in good time. I ate each evening in the restaurant. This was a good experience with huge amounts of fine food under the buffet heading but served at table. Musicians playing. Breakfast in the ground floor cafe was more hit and miss re what was available. There is no gym despite what some sources say.

The hotel needs renovation as it is quite old. The food was fabulous and the staff was cooperative
